E-Verfication Authority

IDENTITY VERIFICATION – SECTION 35A (1) ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING AND COUNTER-TERRORISM FINANCING ACT 2006 – “E-VERIFICATION”

Compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (“the Act”) necessitates the identification of individuals according to the Act’s provisions and associated rules. Division 5A of Part 2 of the Act allows for electronic verification (“e-verification”) in specific circumstances. This process involves matching the personal information you provide to us with data held by credit reporting agencies. We seek your consent to employ this system for identity verification.

By agreeing to undergo e-verification, you explicitly permit us to verify your identity by comparing the information you provide with the data held by a credit reporting agency.

The Act allows us to disclose to a credit reporting agency, for identity verification purposes, any or all of your name, address, and date of birth. The credit reporting agency will:

1. Assess the information we provide to determine its alignment (in whole or in part) with the information in their possession.
2. Generate and provide us with a report of the assessment.
3. Use the information provided by us, as well as names, dates of birth, and addresses from credit files of other individuals, for the purpose of conducting this assessment.

If you opt not to undergo e-verification, we will present an alternative method for identity verification in line with the Act, involving the submission of documents by you.

In the event of unsuccessful e-verification, we will inform you:

1. That the credit reporting agency could not verify your identity.
2. Details of the credit reporting agency contacted, enabling you to make inquiries.
3. You may opt for alternative means to verify your identity.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND CONSENT:
I/we acknowledge and consent to you providing my/our name, address, and date of birth to a credit reporting agency for the purpose of identity verification through the e-verification procedure outlined in Division 5A of Part 2 of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006.
